The TRI app is the application for the TRI Card, used for public transportation in the city of Porto Alegre. With TRI, you can:

• Purchase credits for your card
• Check your balance
• Review your recent transactions
• Request a new card
• Update your contact information
• Consult bus lines, routes, and arrival predictions

The TRI app has a fresh new look! It's even more intuitive and user-friendly. We're also excited to introduce GPS functionality, making your public transportation experience in Porto Alegre even easier! This feature allows you to check real-time bus arrival predictions, as well as view bus lines and routes.

Available on iOS and Android, TRI is an easy, convenient, and completely secure way to handle your transactions. Here's how it works:

Purchasing credits:

You can buy prepaid or student tickets using a bank slip or credit card. After payment, your card will be loaded within two working days* of being used on public transportation.

*In exceptional cases, this timeframe may extend to four working days. But if you have any doubts about when your credits will be available, the app will inform you.

Checking your balance:

You can easily check the amount on your card. The available balance is based on the latest transaction registered by the system.

Reviewing recent transactions:

Your ten most recent transactions are available for viewing. You can see the date, time, operating company, bus prefix, and the amount deducted.

Cancellation and requesting a new card:

You can request to cancel your card and replace it with a new one*. To ensure the process is secure, you'll need to confirm some details. But it's quick and easy, and you'll receive a protocol number for your request via email.

*For student cards, the replacement must be requested through the relevant student entity.

Updating your contact information:

By keeping your details up to date, TRI can contact you in case of any need, and you'll stay informed about all the services and updates within the system.

GPS Functionality:

This feature allows you to check bus arrival predictions and track the bus route in real time. You can also mark your favorite bus stops and lines. Additionally, you can view all the lines that pass through each stop and their scheduled times.

*The GPS feature directs you to an external app that contains all the information.

The TRI - Integrated Transportation is the electronic fare system for public transportation in Porto Alegre. With the TRI card, you can use buses, minibusses (exclusive services), and trains. Since its implementation in 2007, the system has been adding more services and benefits for customers. The app now brings even more advantages. So, take advantage of it!
